Yeah, I did it! I came up to this hoe’s job. Since serving Ricko with the paternity suit, I had yet to hear from him, and he’d been ignoring my calls, so I figured the next best thing would be to make my presence known to my dear old cousin. I could have just popped up on her at her crib, but this was so much better. The look of shock and embarrassment on her face was fucking priceless, and I wish I could have taken a picture of that damn shit.

Lala’s smile dropped immediately when she realized what Ari had said, and a hush fell over the entire shop.

“What the fuck is you doin’ here, bitch!” Ari stood to her feet and sized me up with irritation all over her face.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa! You two know each other?” Lala asked, grabbing Ari’s arm so she couldn’t approach me. I feigned a look of surprise as I stood in place by the door not moving.

“Yeah, this my hoe ass cousin!” she spat, never taking her eyes off of me. I assume Lala knew about the situation by the way her eyes bucked as she looked from me to Ari. The rest of the ladies in the room were quiet as they took in the scene because I’m sure she hadn’t told all of them her business. I dropped the innocent act at this point because it wasn’t getting me anywhere.

“I wasn’t a hoe when your man dropped this baby off up in me,” I said casually, and there was collective gasps around the room.

“Oh no the hell she didn’t!” Semone’s old dramatic ass said loudly as pandemonium broke out. Ari broke free from Lala and ran in my direction.

“Oh shit, somebody get her!”

“Hell naw, that bitch deserve that ass whoopin’,” somebody else said just as Ari reached me and grabbed my hair. I didn’t even have time to defend myself before she started punching the shit out of me.

“Bitch! You thought I wasn’t gone’ catch that ass, huh!” Ari screamed as she wailed on me. I could do nothing but cower and try to cover my stomach so she wouldn’t hurt my baby.

“Somebody get her off of me! I’m pregnant, please!” I cried. I could feel the cuts on my face and the blood pouring from my nose and mouth. I guess they all got a conscious suddenly because the next thing I know, we were being pulled apart. “Ahhh!” I screamed out because Ari still had a firm grip on my hair.

“Let her go, Ari, please. It’s not worth it, boo, just let her go,” I heard someone consoling her. She finally released the hold she had on my weave, and someone pulled me over to one of the chairs in the room so I could sit. Everyone else filed into the back with Ari mugging me along the way. It really shouldn’t have surprised me that they would all be on her side considering they knew her longer, but damn, I was the one with a baby, they could have offered me some water or a towel.
